Welcome to our Christmas Celebration for 2005
Rebekkah and I chose to celebrate Christmas with the troops this year.
No, we can't be there physically, but we are with them in our hearts. To do our
mediocre effort to show support, we have foregone the traditional Christmas feast,
and we are enjoying what many of them survive with on a daily basis.
Yes, MRE's - Meal, Ready-To-Eat. It may seem bizarre to some but it works for us.
May God bless our troops and bring them all home safely!!!
If you think we are doing this because Brian was too lazy to cook,
you couldn't be further from the truth. We will feast tomorrow;
Today we reflect and honor those who make this celebration possible.
We would like to thank everyone for the wonderful gifts.
We are enjoying a truly blessed Christmas.
Our thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you.
Merry Christmas!!!
And now, with extreme honor and pride,
on to the feast of our men and women of the Armed Forces.
Rebekkah is dining on the Beef With Mushrooms, Menu # 19
And Brian is enjoying Ham Slice, Menu # 4
If we have sparked something in you, please take a moment to reflect and honor
the men and women who are serving in our Armed Forces,
and especially those who are serving in harm's way.
I spent about 5 hours today already visiting the following websites.
Granted, we created them, but we guarantee you will leave the sites with the
humility and pride we should all feel, most especially this time of year.
Merry Christmas!!!
